Lot# 1 : Fauna
Fauna must be adopted WITH Zippy as they are a mother/daughter team and are totally dependant upon on another.
Fauna is approximately 11 years old and 42 inches tall. She is almost completely blind due to a condition called "moon blindess". She knows basic ground manners but is not trained to ride. UTD on all shots and has just had teeth floated. If you are interested in learning more about Fauna, please email a CMHR representative today!
Lot# 2 : Zippy
Zippy is approximately 7 years old and stands 36 inches tall. She is blind in her left eye. UTD on all shots and has just had teeth floated. She is not rideable.
Zippy is Thor's dam.
If you are interested in learning more about Zippy, please email a CMHR representative today!
Lot# 3 : Thor
Thor is 27" tall and is halter broke. He is weaned and ready to be adopted. Thor will be gelded very soon.
Lot# 4 : Sonny
Sonny is a 13 year old Sorrel gelding that stands just 30” tall. He may be small but he packs a lot of miniature in that small body. Sonny arrived in foster care as a stallion, but has been gelded, since sonny was a stallion for so long he is just now beginning to get his “Gelding Personality”. He is a feisty little red head that loves running around the pasture and pestering all the other geldings. He is probably more fond of the mares, but he is beginning to realize he is a gelding and starting to hang out with them as well.
Lot# 5 : Remy
Remy is a sorrel appaloosa, approximately 3 1/2 years old. She came to us as a bred mare and foaled a pretty colt, Sawyer, while in our foster care. Because Remy never had a childhood and went directly into mother hood, she has lacked a lot of social graces. She is very food aggressive and will kick. Our foster home has done a lot of work on her ground manners however Remy is not for a child and needs someone to adopt her who will continue to work with her.
Lot# 6 : Sawyer
Sawyer was born May 5, 2011 to Remy, a CMHR foster mare who came in already bred. He is healthy and gets lots of love and attention from his foster mom. He is currently being weaned from Remy and is being fostered in Emmett, Michigan. CMHR will require a gelding agreement be signed if Sawyer is not ready to be gelded at the time of his adoption. Please contact CMHR today if you are interested in learning more about Sawyer.
Lot# 7 : Sultan
This is Sultan. This is his second time around as a CMHR foster horse. Sadly, he was adopted by a family and surrendered back to us with a very low body score and extremely thin. At his recent check up, the vet vaccinated him and checked his teeth. He has been started on a special diet to get his weight back up that consists of Senior feed, supplements and lots of good quality hay. Sultan is a 1997 silver dapple gelding that is AMHA/AMHR registered. Sultan was AMHA Western Regional Champ as a weanling and yearling; National Top Ten in both the Futurity and Amatuer as a yearling. He has an excellent disposition, gets along with other horses and is well mannered. Great pet or driving prospect, but too small to be ridden. Update on Sultan and a little more about him (Aug 2011)... He is gaining weight and filling out now with a proper diet. He had lice when he came in so his mane had to be trimmed some but it should grow back in no time. Sultan is such a great boy! He will stand like a gentleman for just about anything. He has no vices. He loads. He ties. He is just a great little horse!
Lot# 8 : Prize
Prize or "Momma" is back in CMHR foster care for a second time. She was adopted and surrendered back to CMHR very thin. At her check up, she was vaccinated; her teeth were checked and said to be in good shape. She needs to gain some weight but is otherwise healthy. Prize is a beautiful 1989 silver dapple mare. She stands 33" tall and is AMHA/AMHR registered but will not come with her papers. She is sweet, very gentle and well mannered enough for anyone. She is not trained to ride.
Lot# 9 : Hope
This mare was rescued from a terrible fate. The vet estimates her age to be 10 years old and she is 40 inches tall. She is current on her vaccinations and has been wormed. Hope was very skittish when she first came into foster care. She is still fearful but has come a long way. She is slowly learning to trust but is still not ready for a home with small children. She is not trained to ride and will need a gentle and patient owner.
Lot# 12 : Kody
Kody is a 3 year old Black gelding that stands 37” tall. Kody is really a miniature race horse, his legs seem to go on forever. Kody is the peace maker of the herd. He loves all the others and is the first to make friends whenever a new horse is introduced into the herd. Kody is probably the most spoiled, because he loves attention, as soon as he sees anyone enter the pasture he comes running and sticks his nose in the air for kisses. I believe he would let you brush him until he had no hair left on his body because he loves attention so much. When you leave the pasture he follows all the way to the gate for his last kiss and pat.
Lot# 13 : Romeo
Romeo is a 12 year old Sorrel gelding. He stands 36” tall. Romeo is a very “old soul” he is very wise and has an unlimited amount of patience. Romeo knows everything that goes on at the farm. He watches everyone if he could talk you would tell you about every car or dog that passed down our road during the day. Romeo loves attention and will stand to be brushed for hours. We do have him on a low starch diet simply because he has a broken crest, so we watch is weight closely. His broken crest in no way attracts from his beauty. Romeo has the most lush wonderful mane.
Lot# 14 : Davy
Davy is a gentle gelding who stands 41" tall and is approximately 20 years old. He is UTD on his vaccinations and trimming. He would make a great companion horse if you have someone who needs a buddy. He does have a "crooked" left front leg and a large calcium deposit on that knee, but he is not lame.
Lot# 15 : Pocket
Pocket is approximately 28 years old and 43" tall. He was neglected for many years of his earlier life and really needs a loving home where he can live out the rest of his days. Pocket is very gentle and would make a great companion horse. He stands for trims, grooming and baths like a gentleman.
Lot# 16 : Billy
Billy is an 8 year old 35” in Bay gelding. Billy had a ruff start in life and was in a situation where he developed some food aggression issues. We have worked thru all those issues and he is now just a sweetie. Billy is not the first to come up and be petted or brushed, he does have some trust issues, but they seem to be getting better. Billy just needs someone who can devote all their time and give him lots of attention and he will respond. He is very smart and loyal to all his friend minis.
Lot# 17 : Trooper
Trooper is a 10 year old Appaloosa gelding who stands about 39" tall. He is easy to handle with a nice personality. UTD on his vaccinations and farrier work. He is fine with dogs and goats but children should approach him quietly and slowly. He has foundered in the past and is currently on supplements. Loud noises make him a little nervous too, but his foster mom is working on these things with him. He is not trained to ride.
Lot# 18 : Chelse
Chelse is a dapple gray (with flaxen mane & tail) registered mare who stands 34 inches tall. She is 18 years old and UTD on her vaccinations. She was very good for her trim and although she is friendly, she is sometimes apprehensive. Her foster mom is working through these issues with daily handling and lots of love. Her teeth will be done by the time her evaluation period is up and she is ready for adoption.
Lot# 19 : Sugar
Sugar is a very sweet chestnut mare who stands about 35 inches tall. Her exact age is unknown but she appears to be just over 20 years old. She is UTD on her vaccinations and has a fresh trim. Her teeth have been floated; she had large hooks and several ulcers in her mouth. She is a friendly mare, is very easy to handle, and is good for the vet and farrier. Her evaluation period will be up around Valentine's Day and she will be ready for adoption. Update 2/3/11: Sugar is doing well but is the most dominant of the mares and will "donkey kick" the other mares if they don't back away. She has not kicked at people and does not display any unwanted behaviors toward people. She is quite gentle and likes treats. Not trained to be ridden.
Lot# 20 : Lyon
Lyon was dumped by his previous owner in someone's pasture. He is a palomino appaloosa gelding who stands 33" tall. He is UTD on his vaccinations and has been wormed and had his feet trimmed. He is approximately 15 years old and he needs some TLC. While he is hard to catch, he behaves once he is haltered. He is great for worming, bathing, grooming, trims, and even loads fine. He is still shy and a bit scared at times, but for the most part, he is willing to do whatever is asked of him.
Lot# 21 : PJ
PJ is an AMHA/AMHR registered 15 year old 32" Bay pinto gelding. He was a stallion when he was surrendered to us by his former owner but as CMHR policy has since been gelded. PJ was in his former home since purchased as a weanling. PJ has been used as a breeding stallion in the past and produced some nice foals he has also been shown as a youngster doing very well in the ring in halter. He is a very sweet boy, very easy to work with. He is good for the vet & farrier and was great for bathing and clipping. He was not socialized with other horses other than sharing a fence line so he does show some mild aggression towards other male horses but it has improved some since gelding on June 6, 2011. He has no issues with mares and in time I think he will be okay with other geldings. He has endless potential and I think would make an awesome country pleasure horse or just a sweet boy to love on.
